L’année 2009 aura été particulièrement riche pour le village de Birta Deurali.
Après avoir financé en 2006 la reconstruction de l’école, après avoir pourvu de kits solaires la totalité des foyers sur 2007, après avoir sur 2008 financé la construction de toilettes individuelles pour l’ensemble des foyers, Thanaka a financé intégralement en 2009 la construction d’un dispensaire à Birta Deurali.
Et le moins que l’on puisse dire, c’est que celui-ci est une véritable réussite. Un grand bravo à Dhana Lama pour sa remarquable gestion, un bravo également à Kali Pandey et à Gyanu Lama pour leur dévouement... Mais aussi à l’ensemble des villageois qui n’ont jamais baissé les bras et travaillé dès que cela s’avérait nécessaire sur ce projet, et même parfois alors que la pluie tombait en trombe.
Ci-contre un texte rédigé par Dhana... C’était, à fin juin, alors que la pluie commençait à s’abbatre dans la région.
DhanaSorry I am late to give news from this side of world , I just arrived yesterday evening from village [...], I’m very tired, I have been so busy for hard work of construction. Now as much our building is going up and up as lots of works to the hand . Now I have come to know lots of things needed to do while construction is going on ..It’s has been so difficult to work this time due to strong sunshine and raining . Anyway , 60% of work is already completed , may you will notice from the pictures . I will stay at kathmandu just for a week , after I should go to village to complete remain works , most probably the work will be accomplished at the end of july or the first week of Agust .it ’s not so easy as I wanted it complete soon .
I am moving toward as taking suggestion of many people out there that how can we make this project most useful ,important and durable one , as it has owned big compound , we have stronyly managed the ground floor and just over the windows tied up by iron rods and more cements that we can go 2 more floor near future . so our project is getting bigger into size and it has required little more amounts [...]. Length of our building is 49 ft and breadth 15 ft ,it ’s shape is L size and it has four rooms ,our stone wall is 19 inch wide ,wall will go up to 9 t10 ft from the DPC level . so we need lots of stone and time to cut for the wall size.
still we have remain work to be done of roofing , outside and inside wall cementation ,painting and front ground managed .

Le résultat est assez remarquable. Le projet a débuté en février. A la mi-novembre, il n’y a plus que quelques finitions à mettre à l’ordre du jour... Le projet aura finalement coûté quelques 8000 euros à l’association, dont 1800 euros de salaires.
Le reste ne sera que du quotidien... Formation d’un personnel qualifié, apport de médicaments et, sous réserve des possibilités, d’ustensiles médicaux.
